Welcome to Eskilstuna by the shores of Lake Mälaren, the idyllic medium-sized town with industrial roots and the Eskilstuna River flowing through the city center. Here you will find everything you could wish for, and if something is still missing, Stockholm is just an hour away by either good train connections or by car via E20. The vision of the emergency clinic is, "At the emergency clinic, we all work together with the patient in focus."

At Mälarsjukhuset, we have an emergency service that is open 24/7. We work together with emergency physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and paramedics. Our goal is for the patient to feel safe, receive the right care and treatment, and feel helped after their visit with us. We continuously strive to develop and improve care processes and working methods to meet the patient's needs.

We are reviewing working methods, staffing, work environment, and planning for our new emergency department, which is set to be completed in 2026. We are in need of more colleagues as we will be opening our brand new pediatric emergency department.

Your Responsibilities

Your work will include assessing acutely ill patients, medication management, documentation, and nursing care. We offer onboarding and ongoing training to ensure you feel secure and develop in your role, both as a nurse and in future leadership positions. As a nurse in our workplace, you will have the opportunity to gain broad competence in acute care for various patient categories, such as surgical patients, medical patients, and pediatric patients. This provides a varied work experience as a nurse with us.

• With the patient perspective in focus, you will have nursing responsibility for the patient.
• Collaboration and communication are important parts of daily work.
• The educational nurse in the emergency department drives, together with management, the competence development for all staff to increase knowledge, patient safety, and security.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse. Further education as a pediatric nurse, emergency nurse, or district nurse, and experience with sick children are advantageous. As a person, you are self-driven and structured. You relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner, and you are flexible with good collaborative skills. In your interactions with patients, you have an empathetic and service-oriented approach. We view positively if you later wish to pursue specialist training in pediatric care or emergency care.
